One Hundred Years Later...
Beginning a hundred years to the day later, the Aviators Ball is first-class black-tie affair structured to commemorate the Centennial of the first transatlantic flight of Alcock and Brown and accomplish much more. It will provide a rare opportunity for all members of the aviation industry and the community at large to come together to not only celebrate our rich aviation history but the contribution of our aviation industry to Newfoundland and Labradors economic engine. As an island in the North Atlantic we are heavily reliant on our air transportation links and with that perspective in mind we will be bringing in a guest speaker to comment on what the next 100 years of aviation is likely to bring. Add a champagne reception, some top-drawer entertainment and the starlit sky of the St. John’s Convention Centre and there is good reason to mark this night to remember in your calendar.
